A mountain-top winter proposal in Gaspesie

Sébastien’s sense of timing is… impeccable. There’s no doubt about it. It was during a photo session at the top of a mountain in Gaspésie (Québec) that he asked Cyndie to marry him.

A few weeks earlier, Cyndie had applied for a creative photo session we were planning in Gaspésie. Little did she know what was coming! We were looking for a couple crazy enough to climb Mont Hog’s Back (in the Chic-Chocs) with us in winter. The plan was to shoot a sunset session on this gorgeous open summit with a full 360-degree view of the surrounding mountains. And Patrick had been dreaming of photographing there for years.

As soon as we reached the top, Sébastien pulled Patrick aside and revealed he had a ring in his pocket and wanted to propose to Cyndie! OH. MY. GOD. We were so excited! We started the session as if nothing was happening, and when the moment felt right, in the middle of a clearing surrounded by snow-covered fir trees, we gave Seb a discreet signal. He knelt down in front of Cyndie. At first, she didn’t understand what was going on. She thought it was just part of the shoot… until Seb made it clear that it was for real! We laughed so much.

And the light… wow. We were treated to the most stunning rosy glow we’ve ever seen. It honestly felt like a waking dream.

Pure moments of joy with these two sweethearts.
