A morning where the only witnesses are your children, your officiant, and your photographers. This is exactly how Valérie and Mathieu wanted to get married, and they chose Jacques-Cartier National Park to seal their union.

We helped them organize, celebrate, and capture in images a day that truly reflected who they are. An autumn day, simple, where emotion was the cornerstone of their union. An intimate wedding at Jacques-Cartier National Park? That’s totally our kind of day 🙂

Easily accessible locations with breathtaking views

We met early that morning in one of the park’s many parking areas. “We” is a big word since Valérie and Mathieu wanted to do a first look. Mathieu arrived first, and we waited patiently for his bride-to-be. The excitement was only just beginning.

The couple didn’t want a long, stressful day. They simply wanted to enjoy the day at a gentle pace, in a beautiful and easily accessible location, where emotion would be at the heart of the moment. Since we know the park well, we recommended a quiet spot just a few steps from the parking area, near the water, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains. It was just perfect. Mother Nature was on our side 🙂

A first look, a mirror-like river, and pure awe

While Mathieu waited impatiently for Valérie, their children and spouses stepped aside to give the couple their private bubble of love, so they could enjoy this moment together.

Then, tada! Valérie suddenly appeared from the forest in her beautiful white dress and fur stole. Wow. You should have seen the amazement on Mathieu’s face when he turned around. It was magical. And little did we know, the emotional peak was still to come 🙂

A personnalized ceremony, tender vows, and tears

Josée officiated the ceremony. As always, the ceremony was fully personalized for our couples, with touching texts that truly reflected who they are. Josée takes the time to meet couples to learn their story, values, and what should be highlighted during the ceremony. Everything is personal and full of truth.

At this intimate wedding at Jacques-Cartier National Park, the cherry on top was undoubtedly the deeply tender vows that Valérie and Mathieu had written for each other. Prose filled with laughter and tears intertwined throughout the ceremony, under the emotional gaze of their children. Even Josée couldn’t hold back her tears (but that happens often…)

Couple photos full of candor and a unique signing of papers

After the ceremony and a few tissues, we guided them to another spot, a gem in Jacques-Cartier National Park, perfect for unforgettable couple photos. A location where the mountains and the river formed one perfect frame. It was the perfect setting for them — candid yet full of strong emotions.

We then signed the papers to make their union official at a nearby picnic table, in true Love is Nord style, with perfect morning light.

To celebrate, what could be better than setting up a few tables, unpacking the picnic, and toasting with bubbles? Of course, we asked the park for permission a few weeks before the big day 😉

It was simple, festive, and perfectly them. Visitors around seemed amazed by the initiative. In any case, we had so much fun capturing this colorful and very original meal. Pure Love is Nord style 🙂
