A Colorful Brunch, Family Preparations, and a First Look Over the River
We arrived around 9 a.m. that morning, because Kim and Guillaume wanted us to capture every single moment. There was no way we were going to miss a second of this special day.
After hugs and introductions, everyone pitched in to prepare a festive and colorful brunch. On the menu? Donuts and mimosas! The atmosphere was light, joyful, and full of family energy.
Then the preparations began: the guys downstairs in the chalet, the girls upstairs. No chance of bumping into each other. We had planned a first look on the large patio, with a breathtaking view of the river. The excitement was building by the minute. 😄
A few moments later, Guillaume was waiting for Kim, surrounded by their closest family and friends. A group first look is electric. And when Kim appeared in the doorway, silence fell. Shining eyes. Open arms. Raw emotions.

A Ferry Ride, the Sand Dunes, and a Deeply Emotional Ceremony
Route 138 lined with autumn colors. The ferry between Baie-Sainte-Catherine and Tadoussac. The breathtaking view of the Saguenay Fjord. And then… the dunes.
The Tadoussac sand dunes offer an almost unreal setting, a fragment of desert that plunges into the river. Vast and majestic, this place becomes the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding.
From the parking lot, we made our way down the dune to the shore. The wind, the light, the space. Everything feels bigger than yourself.
It was there that Kim’s best friend officiated the wedding. A ceremony full of personal stories, laughter, and tears. The couple’s children read a note they had carefully prepared. It was genuine. Touching. Deeply human.
Then Kim and Guillaume gave each of their children a small piece of jewelry to symbolize their union. A moment suspended in this grand landscape.

A Well‑Deserved Poutine and Sunset Photos
After all those emotions (and the sporty climb back up the dune 😅), a break was definitely needed. Kim and Guillaume had told us they wanted to eat poutine on their wedding day… with cheese that squeaks just the way it should 😂
This festive pause gave us the energy to finish the day at Pointe-de-l’Islet, with views over the Saguenay Fjord.
The sunset was spectacular. The couple’s photos were natural, spontaneous, and full of laughter. Patrick even had some serious competition in silliness from Guillaume… and it shows in the results 😀
