There’s something beautifully simple about an elopement. You and your soul mate. That’s all. It doesn’t have to be more. Because nothing more is important.

Americans Megan & Ben decided to get married in November in the beautiful Charlevoix region. We have long sought the perfect spot for them to exchange their vows. Megan told us that she likes foggy and atmospheric photos. Both wanted to be surrounded by the mountains, but it was not possible to hike to one of the summits of the region. Patrick and I went location scouting twice, because we were not satisfied with the first spot we had found. We took all the small paths that lead nowhere and all those indicated dead end. Nature rewards the brave as they say! When we got to that view, we immediately knew that this was where they had to say yes to each other.

To fall in friendship exists. We lived it with Megan & Ben. A real love at first sight experience! After the wedding ceremony and the photos, we shared a few drinks, a poutine (their first! – there’s nothing better as a wedding meal) and we even returned to lunch together two days later in Old Quebec City.
